Gati Shakti Master Plan

Gati Shakti Master Plan, proposed by the Indian government, will provide for multi-modal connectivity to more than 1,200 industrial clusters in India. The Rs.100 lakh crore plan will be unveiled in September this year. It is in line with the government?s efforts to reduce logistics costs and improve nationwide connectivity. This will make domestic manufacturers more competitive in the global market.
The connectivity project will cover defence corridors, food processing parks, electronics and IT, pharmaceutical and medical devices, fishing clusters and harbours along with mega textile parks. It will include existing flagship government programmes like Bharatmala , Sagarmala, Udaan, Bharat Net etc.
