HANSA-NG
The new generation HANSA (HANSA-NG) is a two-seater aircraft developed by the CSIR?s National Aerospace Laboratories. Its maiden flight was successfully conducted recently from HAL airport. Its unique features include high efficient digitally controlled engine, electrically operated flaps, long endurance, low acquisition and operating cost.
The aircraft was rolled out on March 31 this year. It was approved in 2018 by the Central Government. It is the upgraded version of the HANSA, which took off for the first time in 1993 and certified in 2000. Between 2000 and 2007, NAL developed 12 HANSA aircraft and delivered them to flying clubs across India through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
