During the event, the Union Home Minister released the diabetes-focused Ayurvedic text “Prameh Yog Sangrah”, authored and edited by Prof. (Vaidya) Rajaram Mahto. The book compiles traditional Ayurvedic approaches to managing “Prameha” — a classical term encompassing metabolic disorders including diabetes.
Given India’s rising diabetes burden, integrating traditional knowledge with lifestyle modification and preventive healthcare strategies is seen as complementary to modern medical interventions.
