India Lose 0-5 To China In Uber Cup

The India women’s badminton team lost 0-5 to China in its final Group A tie at the Uber Cup Finals 2026 on 27 April 2026 in Horsens, Denmark. The result ended India’s campaign in the tournament, and India did not qualify for the quarter-finals.

Uber Cup Finals

The Uber Cup is the world women’s team badminton championship organised by the Badminton World Federation. The tournament is held every two years and features national teams competing in group and knockout stages.

India’s Group A Results

India lost 2-3 to hosts Denmark in its opening Group A tie and defeated Ukraine 4-1 in its second match. India finished the group stage with one win and two losses.

Key Matches Against China

PV Sindhu played the opening singles against Wang Zhiyi and lost 16-21, 21-19, 19-21 after leading 18-12 in the deciding game. Isharani Baruah lost to Chen Yufei, and the doubles pair of Priya Konjengbam and Shruti Mishra lost to Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning, after which China secured a 3-0 lead.
