Vijnana Bharati and its Role
The Vijnana Bharati Swadeshi Science Movement had its humble beginnings at the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru. A number of prestigious scientists kickstarted this initiative under the guidance of Prof. K I Vasu. The movement gradually picked up steam and has now expanded to a national level organization. In 1991, a decision was made to launch the Swadeshi Science Movement across India – hence it was renamed as Vijnana Bharati.
This organisation is unique in its objectives – one of which is to kindle creativity and originality among young scientists. Headquartered in New Delhi, Vijnana Bharati plays a vital role in motivating young minds towards aspirational achievements in the field of science.
