INS Hansa

INS Hansa is the Indian NavyÂ’s air station that was commissioned on September 5, 1961. It recently celebrated its diamond jubilee. It is currently operating over 40 military aircraft and supporting civil aviation by handling domestic and international flights round the clock.
INS Hansa currently hosts the Indian NavyÂ’s frontline air squadrons having long-range maritime patrol aircraft. Once the INAS 316 is commissioned, the air station will be operating the Boeing P8I long range maritime reconnaissance aircraft. Aircraft from INS Hansa provides security to the entire western seaboard, including offshore assets.
