Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan
Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) is a centrally sponsored scheme implemented by the Ministry of Human Resource Development for improving the quality and accessibility of the secondary education in public schools across India. Launched in March 2009, its purpose is to provide facilities required for the efficient growth and development and equity of secondary education.
The scheme seeks to increase enrollment rate by making secondary schools easily accessible. It also aims to improve the quality of the secondary education by making schools adapt prescribed norms, ensuring universal access to education and removing gender, socio-economic and disability barriers.
