“Jeevan Seva App”- Launched by Delhi Government

The Health Minister of Delhi, Satyendar Jain, launched the Jeevan Seva App on November 12, 2020. The app has been launched for the safe and timely transportation of Corona patients to the healthcare facilities and hospitals.

Highlights

This app has been launched in collaboration with the EVERA Cab services. The state government has launched the app in order to facilitate the Delhi citizens in home isolation. This app provides and fulfil the ambulance requirements, health check-ups, health amenities and admission to hospitals with just a click.

Significance

Delhi Health Minister highlighted that the Jeevan Seva app will add efficiency to the emergency commute services of Delhi. It will enable more availability of ambulances to cater to the serious requests in time. With the app, the patients will be informed about the pick-up time in advance. Further, the patients will be able to contact the driver through the app. Thus, the app will help in reducing the anxiety about the availability of the ambulance.

Jeevan Seva App

With the launch of the app,  citizens will get access to e-vehicles. E-vehicles will provide free pick up and drop services. These e-vehicles will be used as ambulances to transfer non-critical patients to the health care facilities within the city. The vehicles would be sanitized properly after every ride. It will comprise of the insulated cabins. The e-vehicles will provide hassle-free transport to and from hospitals and to the Coronavirus centres free of cost.

Process

The entire process is completely digital and would give a touch-free convenient drive to patients. Patients can download the app through a link sent through SMS or QR code. The app has facility of real-time GPS tracking that will make the monitoring of the app easier and smoother.
