Karsog Kulth, also called Kulth or Kulthi, is a local term for horse gram. It is a legume crop cultivated in Himachal Pradesh during the Kharif season. The horse gram grown in the Karsog region of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh is said to be particularly rich in amino acids which are the building blocks of proteins. The Himachal Pradesh government is looking to get this crop GI tagged along with 4 other products.
