LIC of India has launched two new mobile applications, MyLIC for customers and Super Sales Saathi for sales intermediaries, as part of its wider digital transformation drive. The launch aims to improve policy servicing, reduce paperwork, and strengthen LIC’s service delivery across its vast customer base. With more than 260 million policies, LIC is using digital tools to improve efficiency and remain competitive in the life insurance sector.
MyLIC App for Policyholders
MyLIC offers a single digital platform for policyholders to manage their insurance needs. It combines policy servicing, claims support, payments, documentation, and customer engagement. The app allows users to view and manage their insurance portfolio, pay premiums instantly, track policy benefits in real time, and access paperless policy loans. It also supports online policy updates, revival of lapsed policies, and purchase of new policies. The app includes secure and fast e-KYC features.
Support for Sales Intermediaries
Super Sales Saathi is designed for LIC’s agents and field force. It provides digital sales tools, real-time policy status tracking, automated follow-up reminders, and integrated customer communication. The app also offers AI-driven nudges for customer value enhancement, digital sales kits, product explainers, and performance dashboards. These features are intended to help intermediaries improve customer service and monitor their targets more effectively.
DIVE Platform and Digital Strategy
Both applications have been developed through LIC’s DIVE, or Digital Innovation and Value Enhancement, platform. The platform is meant to deliver a secure, seamless, and integrated insurance experience for customers, intermediaries, and employees. The move reflects LIC’s focus on digital service delivery, operational efficiency, and greater convenience in policy management.
