MSDE and IBM Launch SkillsBuild Platform for IT Training

The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in collaboration with International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) recently initiated SkillsBuild platform. The online platform aims to provide a two-year advanced diploma in Information Technology (IT), networking, and cloud computing. This course is offered by Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs). Moreover, the platform will also serve as a guide for ITI & NSTI faculty to enhance their skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

SkillsBuild: An Overview

IBM developed SkillsBuild as a comprehensive digital platform that syncs with the Skills India Initiative led by the Indian Government. Post its successful launch in the UK, Germany, and France, India becomes the 4th country to adopt this skill enhancement platform. In India, the platform is accessible through Bharat Skills, a dedicated learning management system for ITI/NSTI students and their teachers.

SkillsBuild delivers personalized coaching and experiential learning to its users. One of its primary goals is to develop the skills required for New Collar roles in the workforce.
