The Ministry of Women and Child Development is organising a National Conference on Safety of Women at Workplace at Vigyan Bhawan. The event will focus on strengthening the implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and promoting safe, dignified and harassment-free workplaces across sectors. It will also show the use of the SHe-Box portal, a single-window platform for complaint registration and compliance monitoring.
Conference Objectives
The conference aims to reinforce the Government’s commitment to workplace safety for women. It will bring together officials from Central Ministries, States and Union Territories, members of Internal Committees and Local Committees, industry leaders, civil society representatives and international organisations. The focus will be on improving PoSH compliance and building a positive workplace culture.

- The portal supports real-time tracking, transparency and accountability.
- It also works as a resource hub for compliance details, annual reports and awareness activities.
Key Features of the Programme
- The event will include an opening plenary and a National Roundtable.
- An International Roundtable will discuss global best practices on workplace safety.
- The SHe-Box logo, a nationwide PoSH training video and IEC materials will be launched.

Policy Significance
The conference is expected to involve around 1,500 participants from more than 100 organisations. It will also release a voluntary compliance checklist to encourage safer workplaces.
