National War Memorial
The National War Memorial was built to honour and remember the martyrs who lost their lives while fighting armed conflicts of Independent India. The names of armed forces personnel killed during the armed conflicts with Pakistan and China as well as the 1961 War in Goa, Operation Pawan and other operations are inscribed on the memorial walls.
The monument is spread over 40 acres of land near the India Gate. Its construction was completed in January 2019 and was unveiled on February 25, 2019. Its construction was worth Rs.176.65 crore. Bharat Electronics Limited is currently improving the digital appeal of the monument.
