Nun Kun massif

The Nun Kun massif consists of a pair of Himalayan peaks – Nun and Kun Peak. Nun is located on the Indian side of the Line of Control in Ladakh. Kun Peak is situated north of Nun and is separated from it by a 4-km plateau.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently flagged in a team of National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS) from Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh, which completed a mountaineering expedition to Mount Kun (7,077 meters) – one of the peaks of the Nun Kun massif. It is the highest peak of the Zanskar ranges located in Kargil.
