Omni Hansa V5

Omni Hansa V5 is the name of a drone which has covered 51 kilometres distance in its one single flight. As of the month of November 2021, this flight was the longest distance travelled by any drone in the country.

Omnipresent Robot Technologies has developed this drone. The drone was designed to investigate Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited pipeline. Prior to Omni hansa V5, the maximum distance a drone could travel in the country was maximum of 42 kilometers. This is an autopilot drone and the entire drone flight from landing to take-off was completely automatic. The V5 lands as well as takes off just like a helicopter and there is no requirement of runaway. It is called a hybrid fixed-wing VTOL drone. VTOL stands for Vertical Takeoff and Landing Drone. The drone can fly over 51km in Beyond Visual Line of Sight mode. This drone can reach heights of up to 400 feet. The first flight of this drone took place in the state of Haryana. The flight of drone was tracked via a 4G network.
