Organisation of Islamic Cooperation
Organisation of Islamic Cooperation was founded in 1969 to work towards the common cause of Muslim world. It is the second-largest international organisation after the UN, having 57 member countries spread across four continents. It came in response to an arson in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. The OIC recently held an emergency meeting over the on-going Gaza conflict. This is the first major convention of the Islamic nations focused on this issue.
