Peak of the Snowy Region 202
“Peak of the Snowy Region 202” is a military drill organised by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Tibet amid the border tensions with India and US-India Passage Exercise. The drills focused on three areas – actual combat training, training with science and technology and high-altitude training.
The drills were held at altitudes of 12,000 feet above the sea level. The exercise involved ground assault forces as well as the PLA’s aviation unit, which deployed attack helicopters. It focused on improving coordination between different types of military troops through simulated battle operations.
