PM Formalisation of Micro-food processing Enterprises
PM Formalisation of Micro-food processing Enterprises (PM FME) scheme was launched by the Indian Government with an outlay of Rs.10,000 crore to provide assistance to micro food processing units in the country. The main objective of this central sector scheme is to formalize the micro food processing units through financial assistance, training, branding and marketing support and credit accessibility.
As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the Central Government launched the Convergence between PM FME and DAY-NULM scheme. This is to assist the emerging self help groups involved in micro-entrepreneurship in food processing sector.
