Safaimitra Challenge: Enhancing Cleaner Safety

The Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge is an initiative by the Central Government that targets the eradication of hazardous manual cleaning of sewers and septic tanks, emphasizing the safety and empowerment of sanitation workers. This challenge was rolled out in alignment with World Toilet Day to highlight the issues faced by those who clean our sewers and septic tanks and to bring about a systemic change in the way this work is approached.
