Protected Planet Report 2020
Recently, the Protected Planet Report 2020 has been released by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This report makes assessment of world’s progress towards the Aichi Target 11 set under the UN Convention of Biological Diversity in 2010 to conserve 17% of land and inland water ecosystems and 10% of coastal waters and oceans by 2020.
