Which is the cheapest mode of transport in Mumbai?

Public bike sharing scheme or PBS scheme is a transport service system in which bicycles are made available for public use on short term basis for a fee. According to a recent analysis by World Resources Institute, it is the cheapest mode of transport for last mile connectivity in Mumbai costing just 2 INR for a 5 km ride. The city faces a lot of trouble with regards to first and last mile connectivity. Short trips of less than 5 km account for 35% of vehicular transport in India. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority is focusing on cycling as an attractive option for this. In addition to this, e-scooters are also being introduced.
