Ramdhari Singh Dinkar

Ramdhari Singh Dinkar is a famous Hindi poet born on September 23, 1908 at Simariya in Bihar. His literary works inspired people during their struggle for independence from the British Colonialism as well as during the movement against Emergency. He passed away in the year 1974. He was popularly known as Rashtrakavi (National Poet).
Ramdhari Singh Dinkar holds a prominent position as one of the important modern Hindi poets. He was conferred with Padma Bhushan in 1959. During his political career, he was a member of the Rajya Sabha and the Hindi advisor to the Government of India.
