TNÂ’s Unique Health ID

The state government of Tamil Nadu announced recently that it will providing Unique Health ID to all residents in the state apart from establishing a population health registry and health IT platform. The Unique Health ID will improve the stateÂ’s health index and achieve the 2030 sustainable development goals.
The Unique Health ID will ease access to medicare and improve the governmentÂ’s record keeping on healthcare in the state. Data obtained from this UHID will help the state government address the limitations in healthcare infrastructure as it provides real-time accurate assessment. It will also help in the implementation of government schemes like makkalai thedi maruthum.
