Why this commission is being criticised?
The commission is being criticised because Trump during his campaign in September 2020 infringed on the constitutional liberties. He states that, the founding of USA had set the unstoppable chain of events to abolish the slavery. Further, it is being criticised as the report recommends to promote positive stories and images of the country’s founders at home, in schools, and in art but it does not include any citations or footnotes or identify any of the main authors. Following the criticism, the 1776 commission was dissolved by an executive order of the President Joe Biden.
