Reigning world champion Samrat Rana and World Cup final winner Suruchi Singh combined to win silver in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Their result added to India’s medal tally in a competition that has seen the hosts dominate several pistol events.
Junior and Youth 1-2 Finishes
India also produced back-to-back 1-2 finishes in the women’s junior and youth 10m air pistol individual events.
- Rashmika Sahgal and Vanshika Chaudhary secured the top two positions in the junior category.
- Priyanshi Purva and Chahek Kohla finished first and second in the youth category.
These results reflected India’s strength in the developmental levels of shooting.
Team Golds Add to Medal Haul
India won two more gold medals in the team competitions.
- Rashmika Sahgal, Vanshika Chaudhary and Agam Grewal won the junior women’s air pistol team gold with 1714 points.
- Priyanshi Purva, Chahek Kohla and Shiksha Saran claimed the women’s youth air pistol team gold with 1709 points.
Kazakhstan finished second in both events.
