Clean India Drive

Clean India Drive was announced recently by the Central Government. It is a month-long cleanliness drive that will be conducted across the country from October 1 to 31. The drive will mainly focus on disposing single-use plastics.
The Clean India Drive will be the world’s largest cleanliness drive. It would witness the collection of more than 75 lakh tonnes of wastes from across India. These wastes will be processed in a “Waste to Wealth” model. With this campaign, the government seeks to propagate the vision of “Clean India: Safe India”.
