Two rescued wild animals, a Fishing Cat and a Python, have found a new home in the D. Ering Memorial Wildlife Sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh’s East Siang district. The sanctuary, established in 1977, spans approximately 190 square kilometers and is named after the late Daying Ering, a prominent Indian politician. It boasts a diverse ecosystem comprising tropical evergreen, semi-evergreen, and deciduous forests, with the Siang River running through it. The sanctuary is home to a variety of wildlife, including buffalo, elephant, tiger, leopard cat, and a wide range of bird species, including migratory birds from Siberia and Mongolia.
