e-Emergency X-Miscellaneous visa

The e-Emergency X-Miscellaneous visa is a new e-visa category created by the Indian Government for Afghan nationals looking to evacuate from Afghanistan. The new type of visa is expected to help Afghans escape persecution by the Taliban. It will be initially valid for 6 months.
The new visa category will fast track the visa application for the entry into India. It is being processed in New Delhi since the Indian mission in Kabul is currently shut down. All Afghans, regardless of their religious background, will be eligible for this visa. It will especially benefit religious minorities like the Hindus and Sikhs, who are fearing oppression by the Taliban.
