Koilwar Bridge

The three-lane 1.5 km long Koilwar bridge was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways via video conferencing. This bridge will span across Son River in Bihar. The bridge construction is worth Rs.266 crore. The existing two-lane bridge, for both rail and road traffic is more than 100 years old. It is being replaced by a six-lane bridge, of which the 3-lane bridge has been opened for the public. This bridge provides major road connectivity between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
