Military Engineer Services

The Military Engineering Services (MES) is one of the pillars of Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army. It provides rear line engineering support for the Armed Forces and associated organizations of the Defence Ministry. It is currently one of the largest construction and maintenance agencies in the country.
The MES is responsible for the construction activities like residential and office buildings, hospitals, roads, runways and marine structures across India. It also constructs sophisticated and complex laboratories, factories, hangars, ammunition storage facilities etc. During the pandemic, it created and modified existing assets into COVID care facilities across the country.
