Punjab Smart Connect Scheme aims to ensure seamless e-learning in government schools amid the coronavirus pandemic. The state government of Punjab is spending more than 87 crore INR for this scheme. In the first phase, 50,000 students have received smartphones. The second phase of this scheme was recently launched by the Chief Minister in a virtual even to distribute smartphones for another 80,000 students. The remaining smartphones will be provided for students by the end of December 2020.
