Rail Land Development Authority

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is a statutory authority under the Ministry of Railways established following the amendment of the Railways Act, 1989. It is responsible for creating assets for Indian Railways by developing vacant railway land for commercial use. The authority recently stated that it is expecting results of the projects awarded in fiscal 2019-20, under which the Railways was anticipating Rs.1,553 crore over the next few years. These projects were affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
