Senior Able Citizens for Re-Employment in Dignity

Senior Able Citizens for Re-Employment in Dignity (SACRED) is an employment exchange platform prepared by the Indian Government to help senior citizens find jobs. The interministerial committee formed to set up this exchange has approved Rs.10 crore for the purpose and an additional Rs.60 crore for the creation and maintenance of portal.
Apart from providing job opportunities, the portal will also provide retaining and reskilling options for the senior citizens. The first beneficiaries of this exchange will be the retirees from the armed forces, RBI, nationalized banks and public sector undertakings as well as government officials. The objective of this initiative is to make use of the expertise of senior citizens in promoting the economic growth.
