Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise is held between the navies of India and Singapore since 1994. It is the Indian NavyÂ’s longest uninterrupted bilateral maritime exercise with any foreign navy. Its continuity remained undeterred despite the challenges posed by the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
The 28th edition of bilateral maritime exercise was held from September 2 to 4 this year. It is significant because it took place amid the on-going celebration of the 75th anniversary of IndiaÂ’s independence. Due to the pandemic-led challenges, this yearÂ’s edition is held without any physical interactions. It was hosted by the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).
