Singapore’s Cool Chains

The ‘cool chain’ process is used for preservation and distribution of vaccines. In this process, vaccines are transported via airplane in deep freeze boxes and unloaded into temperature controlled carts called cool dollies. These are the moved to cold rooms in the airports’ storage facilities before further distribution. Singapore has been increasing its cool chain capabilities to handle its shipments of the Pfizer vaccines which require extremely low temperatures for storage.
