Erasmus Scholarship Program

The Erasmus Scholarship Program (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) is a scholarship program for students studying in Europe. This exchange program of the EU was started in 1987 and involves more than 4,000 institutions. The program has a budget of 14.7 billion Euros and enables more than 40 lakh Europeans to study abroad. It involves a 3 to 12 month exchange study program during the 2nd or 3rd year of the course. Countries are classified based on their eligibility as ‘program’ countries and ‘partner’ countries. India is a partner country.
