Message on Women’s Empowerment

President Murmu said women are an indispensable pillar of society. She noted that respect and empowerment of women are a true mark of a civilised nation. She expressed confidence that the new schemes will strengthen the self-belief of women in Delhi and encourage them to achieve higher goals.

Link with Central Welfare Policies

The President also referred to major national schemes that have shaped women-centric welfare in recent years. These include PM Ujjwala Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. These programmes have focused on clean cooking fuel, girl child welfare, and maternal support.

The event was attended by Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Harsh Malhotra, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena, and Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta. The launch marks the growing emphasis on targeted welfare delivery, financial inclusion, and women-led development in urban governance.
