A rare white female albino Himalayan tahr has been sighted in the Dharol beat of Thanari Goth inside the Kugti Wildlife Sanctuary in Bharmour, Chamba district. The unusual animal was recorded by the Chamba Wildlife Division and has drawn attention because albinism is extremely rare in this species. The Himalayan tahr is generally found in steep, rocky Himalayan terrain and is usually dark brown in colour.

The albino tahr was observed in a high-altitude protected area known for rugged slopes and rich biodiversity. Experts note that only a very small fraction of Himalayan tahrs show pure white albinism. Such sightings are uncommon in the wild and are important for biodiversity records.
