The second National Skill Olympiad on Seafood Value Addition concluded on 2 July 2026 at Seafood Expo Bharat 2026 in Kochi. It was organised by the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

- Prize structure: Second ₹75,000; third ₹50,000; fourth ₹25,000.
Training & capacity building
- Programme reach: MPEDA conducted 50 Seafood Value Addition training programmes across India’s east and west coasts, training over 2,500 processing workers and professionals.

- Finale products: Nobashi shrimp; Breaded butterfly shrimp; Cooked Peeled Deveined Tail-On (PDTO) shrimp; Marinated shrimp skewers; Breaded squid rings; Fish fillets.
- Skills assessed: Breading, marination, portioning, PDTO processing, battering, presentation and shelf-life handling.
