The All India Official Language Conference for Eastern, North-Eastern and Northern Regions was held at the International Indoor Exhibition Centre, Hapania, Agartala. The event was organised by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs and focused on strengthening the use of Hindi in official work. It also provided a platform for sharing best practices among ministries, institutions and organisations. Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended as the Chief Guest.
Purpose of the Conference
The conference aimed to promote effective implementation of the Official Language policy. It brought together representatives from government bodies and institutions to discuss administrative use of Hindi. A special exhibition brought into light achievements in official language implementation. The event reflected efforts to improve language-based communication in governance.
Ayurveda and Health Services at Venue
The All India Institute of Ayurveda, under the Ministry of Ayush, participated actively in the conference. Senior AYUSH physicians led by Director Prof. (Vaidya) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati provided free health check-ups and medical consultation. The CCRAS Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Agartala supported medicine distribution and health screening. Technical and clinical support was also provided by AIIA.
- Nityasevi Ayur Kit was distributed to participants.
- Prakriti Parikshan camps were organised for body constitution assessment.
- Nadi Parikshan camps were held for pulse diagnosis.
- Yoga sessions and AYUSH camps were arranged to promote preventive health.
Book Release and Key Messages
During the programme, the Ayurvedic book Prameh Yog Sangrah was released by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The book focuses on diabetes management through Ayurveda. Senior doctors from AIIA also took part in the Hindi exhibition and health discussion sessions. The conference linked official language promotion with public health awareness.
