PLASTINDIA 2026 Begins in New Delhi

PLASTINDIA 2026, one of the world’s major plastics exhibitions, is set to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from 5 to 10 February 2026. The event brings together global exhibitors, industry leaders, innovators, and policy stakeholders to showcase developments in plastics, machinery, raw materials, and circular economy solutions. The exhibition is being positioned as a platform for manufacturing-led growth, self-reliance, and sustainable industrial development.

Event Theme and Focus

The 2026 edition is being organised under the theme Bharat Next. It aligns with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat. The emphasis is on building a self-reliant industrial base that can support large-scale employment and long-term manufacturing growth. The exhibition also marks India’s strengths in Men, Material, Machine, and Markets.

Participation and Industry Scope

  • More than 2,000 international exhibitors are expected to participate.
  • The event will feature innovations in machinery, raw materials, and recycling technologies.
  • It will also focus on trade, technology, talent, tradition, and tourism.
  • The Indian plastics industry is currently valued at around ₹3 to ₹3.5 lakh crore.

Zero Waste Exhibition Initiative

For the first time, PLASTINDIA is being planned as a Zero Waste exhibition. All solid waste generated at the venue will be segregated, recycled, and reused. The objective is to ensure that no waste is sent to landfills. This makes the event from the perspective of sustainable event management and circular economy practices.

Youth, Innovation and Sectoral Relevance

A dedicated space has been created for youth, innovators, and start-ups to present sustainable plastic solutions. A special museum will also demonstrate the role of plastics in agriculture, healthcare, water management, and mobility when used responsibly. The exhibition underlines the sector’s importance in infrastructure, consumer goods, and India’s wider economic growth path.
