On 19 June 2026 the Nagpur Municipal Corporation revived a plan to establish citywide food courts under the Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Yojana to provide organised vending spaces and curb roadside encroachments.

PM SVANidhi: Core design

  • Nature of support: Collateral‑free working capital loans to street vendors.
  • Progressive tranches: ₹15,000, ₹25,000 and ₹50,000 across three tranches.
