Rajasthan Forestry and Bio development Project
The Rajasthan Forestry and Bio development Project is a biodiversity conservation project undertaken by the state forest department in eastern districts with assistance from the French development agency – Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD).
The project seeks to promote eco-tourism and other sustainable income generation activities in the target villages with the help of nearly 120 self-help groups. It will be implemented with the help of the local population, which in turn will help them increase their incomes without adversely impacting the natural ecosystem. It seeks to promote afforestation outside the designated forest areas, restore degraded forests and develop plant micro reserves.
