Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme

The Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) is a sub-scheme of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission. Its objective is to provide the environment required for the enterprise development in rural India. The scheme covers business plans, loan accessibility and other supports like marketing, account maintenance, training, capacity building, seed fund etc.
As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Ministry of Rural Development provided Community Enterprise Fund (CEF) loan worth Rs.8.60 crore to around 2,000 self help group entrepreneurs. These loans were given under the SVEP to start micro-enterprises in villages across 19 states.
