UK Space Command

The United Kingdom Space Command is a joint command of the British Armed Forces under the aegis of the Royal Air Force. It has three broad functions – space operations, space workforce generation and space capability.
Recently, the UK Space Command was officially opened and the first “Space Operator” Badges were presented to the personnel. Once fully operationalised, it will provide command and control of all of defence’s space capabilities, including the UK Space Operations Centre, Skynet (satellite) communications, RAF Fylingdales etc. It is expected to play a pivotal role in the UK’s defence and military operations.
