Telangana projected itself as a major destination for artificial intelligence-led growth during the USIBC Round Table held at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi. The state brought into light its technology ecosystem, policy stability, and expanding public-private partnerships as key strengths for global investors, especially from the United States.
Telangana’s AI Growth Strategy
Telangana said it is building a strong base for AI research, deployment, and innovation. The state has positioned itself as a leader in artificial intelligence through sector-specific innovation centres. These focus on health, agriculture, education, and urban development.
Investment and Policy Environment
The state emphasised that stable and forward-looking policies have supported its technology growth. It presented itself as offering scalable and future-ready platforms for investors. Telangana also underlined that its infrastructure and technology ecosystem make it attractive for American companies seeking long-term opportunities.
AI Governance and Public Services
Artificial intelligence is already being used to improve governance in the state. Real-time monitoring of public services is one of the key applications. The state said responsible standards and AI safety are essential for public trust and sustainable innovation.
Skills, Institutions and International Cooperation
Telangana said top priority will be given to AI University, AI Hubs, and skilled workforce development in the upcoming budget. It also referred to major initiatives such as AIKAM, TGDeX, AI City, and Bharat Future City. On the sidelines of the summit, discussions were also held on a proposed Hyderabad–Jakarta Technology Skills Development Corridor to deepen cooperation in talent exchange and startup ecosystems.
