Bharat Tribes Fest 2026 will be held from 18 to 30 March 2026 at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi, bringing together tribal artisans, entrepreneurs and cultural performers from across India. Organised by the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, the event will showcase tribal art, handlooms, handicrafts, cuisine and live cultural performances. It is designed to show the diversity, creativity and enterprise of Tribal India.
Festival Overview
The fest will be inaugurated on 18 March 2026 by the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs in the presence of the Minister of State for Tribal Affairs and other dignitaries.
- The venue will be open to the public daily from 11:00 AM to 08:00 PM.
- The event will present an immersive experience of tribal traditions and livelihoods.
- It will bring together participants from multiple tribal communities and regions.
Major Exhibitions and Activities
The festival will feature more than 200 curated stalls, representing 78 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras and 310 master artisans from across the country.
- About 120 tribal cuisine participants will promote the Forest-to-Plate concept.
- Seventeen live demonstrations will display heritage craft-making processes.
- More than 400 artists will perform traditional dances and music during the evenings.
Bharat Tribes Business Conclave
A Business Conclave will be held from 19 to 27 March 2026 as part of the festival.
- It will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and tribal enterprises.
- Key themes include sustainable textiles, tribal food systems and ethical luxury markets.
- The discussions will also focus on innovation, indigenous knowledge protection and skill development for tribal youth and women.
CSR and RISA Initiatives
A CSR Conclave is scheduled for 24 March 2026 to connect corporate institutions with tribal entrepreneurs and support sustainable livelihoods.
- The RISA initiative will link renowned designers with tribal artisans.
- It will promote indigenous textiles such as Eri Silk, Kotpad Cotton and Dongria Embroidery.
- The initiative aims to integrate tribal craftsmanship into the wider fashion ecosystem.
