CPGRAMS AI Chatbot Samadhan Didi

CPGRAMS AI Chatbot Samadhan Didi

The government has launched “Samadhan Didi,” an AI-enabled voice chatbot integrated with the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS). Developed by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) in collaboration with Bhashini, this tool simplifies public grievance redressal by allowing citizens to lodge complaints verbally in multiple Indian languages.

Core Functionality of Samadhan Didi

  • Voice-Enabled Interface: Eliminates the need for manual typing or complex form-filling by accepting verbal complaints.
  • Multilingual Support: Uses Bhashini technology to support diverse Indian languages and dialects, transcending the 22 languages of the Eighth Schedule.
  • Automated Categorization: The AI intelligently identifies the nature of the grievance and routes it to the appropriate ministry or department automatically.
  • Seamless Integration: Functions as an extension of the existing CPGRAMS framework for instantaneous grievance lodging.

Significance of CPGRAMS and Bhashini

  • CPGRAMS: A government-to-citizen (G2C) initiative managed by DARPG and developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), ensuring transparency, accountability, and fixed timelines for grievance disposal.
  • Bhashini (National Language Translation Mission): Serves as the technological backbone, utilizing advanced AI and the Bhasha Daan platform to bridge the language barrier in public service delivery.

IASPOINT Booster Facts

  • Objective: Aligns with the vision of “Maximum Governance, Minimum Government” through digital transformation.
  • Scope: Enhances accessibility for citizens lacking technical expertise or digital literacy.
  • Data Sovereignty: Promotes indigenous AI tools tailored for Indian linguistic diversity.
