Gujarat’s Samras Vidyasetu Education Campaign

Gujarat launched the Samras Vidyasetu Mega Campaign on 22 July 2026 to re-enrol over 80,000 children who dropped out from classes 1–12.

Campaign Components

  • Target group: Children who left formal schooling in classes 1–12; state target >80,000 re‑enrolments.
  • Core activities: Identification, parental contact, home visits, mentoring, re‑enrolment and retention measures.
  • Bridge courses: Short remedial programmes provided before reintegration into regular classes.

Digital Tools & Monitoring

  • Child Tracking System: Online platform covering >1 crore students in >54,000 schools; used to monitor enrolment and dropout status; has re‑enrolled 90,212 previously dropped‑out students.
  • Early Warning System (EWS): AI‑based risk identification at Vidya Samiksha Kendra, Gandhinagar; identified 1,18,234 students at risk in 2026.
  • Integration: EWS is being integrated with the Child Tracking System for targeted interventions.
