Mangaluru International Airport has been selected among six airports worldwide for the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award 2025 in the Best Airport at Arrivals category. This is the second consecutive year that the airport has received the global arrivals distinction, after winning it in 2024. The recognition marks strong passenger satisfaction in the inbound travel experience.
About the ASQ Award
The ASQ Awards are considered one of the aviation sector’s most credible benchmarks for customer satisfaction. They are based on real-time passenger feedback collected through ACI World’s independently administered survey programme. The awards assess airport performance from the traveller’s point of view rather than only operational data.
What the Arrivals Category Measures
The arrivals category covers the full inbound journey. Key parameters include:
- Immigration and border processing.
- Baggage delivery and waiting time.
- Terminal ambience and cleanliness.
- Wayfinding and passenger guidance.
- Overall comfort and ease of arrival.
The category is designed to reflect how smoothly passengers experience the airport after landing.
Why Mangaluru Airport Was Recognised
The airport’s recognition reflects sustained improvements in service quality and operations. These include process optimisation, digital initiatives, and staff training. Coordination with government agencies and ecosystem partners has also supported better passenger handling. The focus on operational efficiency and passenger-centric infrastructure has helped improve arrival experience and turnaround times.
Award Ceremony and Global Context
The ASQ award will be presented on 2 September 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye, during the ACI World Airport Experience Summit scheduled from 31 August to 4 September. This year, 100 airports across the world have been recognised in different categories, with 195 awards to be presented in total. Mangaluru International Airport’s repeat recognition places it among a small group of airports delivering consistently high arrival service standards.
